Biomedical or mechanical engineering?

Most Bio-Medical Engineers are in research simply because of the cutting edge nature of the field. That doesn't mean you aren't implementing the research you do into usable applications. Some Bio-Medical Engineers even create their own start ups off their findings. Hope this helps.
