Why do we have to put ourselves under labels?

I agree with you so much, every time i have to fill out a form and check a box for my ethnicity i wonder why we need to do that. I cant really see it helping anything it just lets whoever is looking at the form get an idea about us that may or may not be right. As far as society goes i think that it makes racial situations wore, if we are willing to categorize ourselves then what is stopping others from doing the same thing to us.
